Mitchiko datang ke Indonesia untuk memberikan barang milik ayahnya, Tuan Tanaka yang meninggal beberapa minggu yang lalu, kepada seorang perawat bernama Karmila. Karmila adalah seorang suster yang pernah mengurus Tanaka di Indonesia, dan barang itu mungkin sebagai ungkapan terima kasih.
Mitchiko membuat Barry, Ariel, dan Odong tergila-gila padanya. Hingga di dalam lamunanpun mereka melihat Mitchiko. Di sebuah pagi, Kayla yang sedang sendirian berkenalan dengan penghuni villa sebelah, Jeng Dollie (Shinta Bachir) dan Roy Konak (Alex Abbad), pasangan ekshibisionis yang mengundang Kayla dan teman-temannya ke pesta ulang tahun Roy. Setelah dijelaskan oleh Ariel tentang kiprah suami-istri itu di dunia pornografi, Kayla menyatakan bahwa merekalah yang suka mengintipinya di rumah, dengan bukti sebuah anting bundar yang tidak diketahui pemiliknya. Ariel pun mengembalikan anting itu kepada suami-istri itu dan sebagai hadiah, Ariel diperbolehkan menjadi dubber film porno Jepang ke Bahasa Jawa. Di sisi lain, Barry berhasil mendapatkan alamat Suster Karmila dari puskesmas setempat. Namun, penduduk lokal disana sepertinya tidak ingin mengatakan lebih lanjut mengenai Suster Karmila.
Malam harinya, Barry, Odong, dan Mitchiko berhasil sampai di villa yang terfoto di foto yang dibawa Mitchiko. Barry menunggu di luar sementara yang lain kedalam. Didalam, mereka bertemu Suster Karmila dan diluar, Barry mendapat info dari penduduk lokal bahwa semua penghuni villa itu sudah meninggal. Maka setelah bertemu dengan hantu, mereka pun melarikan diri dari villa itu. Keesokan harinya, Kayla mencari informasi di Internet mengenai Suster Keramas. Selanjutnya, Barry dan Mitchiko bertemu seorang suster yang mengatakan nasib Karmila. Karmila dulu telah menolong Tanaka dari sebuah kecelakaan dan akhirnya Tanaka jatuh cinta dengan Karmila. Saat mereka berdua akhirnya berhubungan badan, hal itu diketahui oleh seorang anak kecil yang mana anak itu menyebarkannya pada penduduk sekitar villa. Setelah itu, Tanaka diusir sementara Karmila menghilang.
Di antara cerita tersebut, sang suster mengatakan penguni villa sebelah Tanaka yang merupakan anak kecil itu adalah Roy Konak. Sepulangnya dari rumah sang suster, Mitchiko menangis karena Karmila sudah tiada. Ia melihat isi kotak yang diberikan Tanaka yang isinya adalah warisan aset-aset Tanaka kepada Karmila. Di villa Roy Konak, Jeng Dollie yang baru mengetahui nama Suster Keramas dari Barry, menyebut nama Suster Keramas tiga kali, yang mana hal tersebut dilarang. Maka Jeng Dollie pun meninggal dibunuh Suster Karmila. Lalu, Roy Konak yang menemukan istrinya mati menyesal ketika ia dulu masih kecil telah mengadukan perbuatan Tanaka dan Karmila. Roy akhirnya berakhir sama seperti istrinya.
Di villa, setelah Kayla memanggil nama Suster Keramas tiga kali, suster itu tidak menyerangnya, namun justru malah memeluknya. Setelah beberapa kilatan adegan, ternyata hasil hubungan Karmila dan Tanaka adalah Kayla. Kemudian, sebelum Karmila menghilang (sebenarnya dikejar massa karena bertindak mesum), Keyla dilahirkan dan Karmila menaruhnya di salah satu villa. Kebetulan, villa itu adalah milik ayah dan ibu angkat Kayla. Saat sadar karena dibangunkan oleh Odong dan Mitchiko, Kayla memeluk kakak kandungnya, Mitchiko. Film berakhir dengan Barry dan Ariel yang menemui Jeng Dollie yang katanya menggantikan Suster Keramas, karena sang suster sudah bahagia di alam sana.

Sepulang dari Mekah, Darwis muda (Muhammad Ihsan Tarore) mengubah namanya menjadi Ahmad Dahlan. Seorang pemuda usia 21 tahun yang gelisah atas pelaksanaan syariat Islam yang melenceng ke arah sesat, Syirik dan Bid'ah.
Dengan sebuah kompas, dia menunjukkan arah kiblat di Masjid Besar Kauman yang selama ini diyakini ke barat ternyata bukan menghadap ke Ka'bah di Mekah, melainkan ke Afrika. Usul itu kontan membuat para kiai, termasuk penghulu Masjid Agung Kauman, Kyai Penghulu Cholil Kamaludiningrat (Slamet Rahardjo), meradang. Ahmad Dahlan, anak muda yang lima tahun menimba ilmu di Kota Mekah, dianggap membangkang aturan yang sudah berjalan selama berabad-abad lampau.
Walaupun usul perubahan arah kiblat ini ditolak, melalui suraunya Ahmad Dahlan (Lukman Sardi) mengawali pergerakan dengan mengubah arah kiblat yang salah. Ahmad Dahlan dianggap mengajarkan aliran sesat, menghasut dan merusak kewibawaan Keraton dan Masjid Besar.
Bukan sekali ini Ahmad Dahlan membuat para kyai naik darah. Dalam khotbah pertamanya sebagai khatib, dia menyindir kebiasaan penduduk di kampungnya, Kampung Kauman, Yogyakarta. "Dalam berdoa itu cuma ikhlas dan sabar yang dibutuhkan, tak perlu kiai, ketip, apalagi sesajen," katanya. Walhasil, Dahlan dimusuhi.
Langgar kidul di samping rumahnya, tempat dia salat berjemaah dan mengajar mengaji, bahkan sempat hancur diamuk massa lantaran dianggap menyebarkan aliran sesat.
Dahlan, yang piawai bermain biola, dianggap kontroversial. Ahmad Dahlan juga di tuduh sebagai kyai Kafir karena membuka sekolah yang menempatkan muridnya duduk di kursi seperti sekolah modern Belanda, serta mengajar agama Islam di Kweekschool atau sekolah para bangsawan di Jetis, Yogyakarta.
Ahmad Dahlan juga dituduh sebagai kyai Kejawen hanya karena dekat dengan lingkungan cendekiawan priyayi Jawa di Budi Utomo. Tapi tuduhan tersebut tidak membuat pemuda Kauman itu surut. Dengan ditemani isteri tercinta, Siti Walidah (Zaskia Adya Mecca) dan lima murid murid setianya : Sudja (Giring Ganesha), Sangidu (Ricky Perdana), Fahrudin (Mario Irwinsyah), Hisyam (Dennis Adhiswara) dan Dirjo (Abdurrahman Arif), Ahmad Dahlan membentuk organisasi Muhammadiyah dengan tujuan mendidik umat Islam agar berpikiran maju sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman.

Temüjin (Tadanobu Asano) as a prisoner in the Tangut kingdom, conveys his memories about his earlier life through a series of flashbacks.
Embarking on an expedition as a young boy, Temüjin (Odnyam Odsuren) is accompanied by his father Yesügei (Ba Sen) to select a girl as his future wife. Temüjin meets and chooses Börte (Bayertsetseg Erdenebat), although his father wishes him to choose a mate from the Merkit tribe. Temüjin convinces his father to allow him to choose Börte. He promises to return after five years to marry her. On their way home, Temüjin's father is poisoned by an enemy tribe. As he lies dying, he tells Temüjin that he is now Khan. However, one of his father's warriors, Targutai (Amadu Mamadakov), orders the other tribesmen to loot the dead Khan's camp. Targutai spares Temüjin's life, declaring a Mongol does not kill children. After falling through the ice of a frozen lake, Temüjin is found lying down in the snow by a young boy called Jamukha (Amarbold Tuvshinbayar). The two quickly become friends and perform a traditional ceremony declaring themselves blood brothers. Targutai later captures Temüjin, holding him in captivity. Temüjin however, escapes late one night and roams the countryside. Temüjin is later seen again as a young man (Tadanobu Asano) in 1186. He once again is apprehended by Targutai, who wishes to kill him now that he is grown. Temüjin escapes a second time finding Börte (Khulan Chuluun), and brings her back to his family. Later that night, they are attacked by the Merkit tribe led by Chiledu (Sai Xing Ga), since Temüjin's father had years before stolen his wife from one of their tribesmen. While being chased on horseback, Temüjin is shot with an arrow. Börte whips the horse which Temüjin is on, telling it to go home. Börte is captured by the Merkit leader, as Temüjin returns safely to his family.
Temüjin goes to his childhood friend Jamukha (Sun Honglei), who is now a Khan himself. Jamukha agrees to help him get his wife back and attack the Merkit tribe, though only after a year passes. The attack on the Merkit tribe is a success, and Temüjin finds Börte alive and Chiledu dead. However, just as he feared, Bortë has already been raped and left pregnant with Chiledu's son, who Temüjin takes as his own. Temüjin and his men leave early the next morning, and two of Jamukha's soldiers choose to join Temüjin because he distributes more plunder to his warriors than Jamukha. Jamukha chases down Temüjin, but Temüjin refuses to send back Jamukha's combatants and horses because he explains a Mongol warrior is free to choose his leader. Jamukha warns him that his actions will lead to future conflict. Taichar (Bu Ren), Jamukha's brother, is later killed while attempting to steal back Jamukha's horses; Jamukha and Temüjin go to war. Outnumbered, Temüjin's army is quickly defeated. Jamukha declares victory and decides to make Temüjin a slave rather than execute him.
Temüjin is sold to a Tangut Garrison Chief (Zhang Jiong), despite the dire warning given to the man by a Buddhist monk (Ben Hon Sun) acting as his advisor. While imprisoned, the monk pleads with Temüjin to save his monastery when he is set free sometime in the future. In exchange for delivering a bone fragment to Börte indicating that he is still alive, Temüjin agrees. To get to Tangut, Börte becomes a merchant's concubine, bearing a daughter along the way. Once Börte arrives in Tangut, she abandons the merchant and bribes the guard for the key to Temüjin's cell. Once freed, he gathers an army to unify all of the Mongols. In 1196, Temüjin declares war over Jamukha. By 1206, Temüjin defeats Jamukha and is designated the Khan of all the Mongols–Genghis Khan of the Great Steppe.
